PACU room nurse work summary

Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, it has been two months since we came to Foshan First People’s Hospital for internship. Here I not only learned a lot of professional knowledge about anesthesia and nursing, but also made many friends and opened up new fields. I also know the weaknesses of my own personality.

In the past two months, I have mainly worked in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and the endoscopy center. The PACU is responsible for receiving patients who are not awake and whose vital signs are unstable after general anesthesia, and provides respiratory support and respiratory and circulatory monitoring, including respiratory movement, pulse oximetry, non-invasive blood pressure, heart rate, electrocardiogram, etc., until the patient is conscious and After the endotracheal tube is removed and the patient's condition is stable, he or she is sent back to the ward, and the patient is handed over to the ward nurse and informed of the patient's preoperative diagnosis, surgical method, anesthesia method, intraoperative vital signs, input and output volume, and handling of special situations, etc. In addition, the anesthesia nurse is also responsible for the supply of various items and medicines in the PACU and the anesthesia preparation room, as well as the cleaning and disinfection of some items. The endoscopy center mainly completes intravenous anesthesia for painless gastroscopy, colonoscopy, hysteroscopy and other examinations under the guidance of anesthesiologists to ensure that patients can safely undergo examinations.

I highly recommend
