Film Review of Cloud Map
Cloud Map is a drama produced by Warner Bros., which is adapted from david mitchell's novel of the same name. It consists of six seemingly independent stories with some mysterious connection with each other. The following are my comments on cloud pictures. Welcome to read the collection.

When the film critics of Yuntu see six dimensions, three directors working together, the most difficult adaptation in history, etc., the plot of this film will be overwhelmed by overwhelming background knowledge.

However, it is really not worth discussing if the story of the cloud picture is separated separately. Only the themes it discusses are eternal life, love and freedom, reincarnation and rebirth. These are the four most beautiful things in the world, which will be pursued for generations and will never stop.

Frankly speaking, the opening of the fracture narrative did not create the suspense it deserved. Even in the first few minutes of the opening, I was tired of watching movies and needed to tell myself repeatedly to hold on. It was not until after the great destruction that people believed the beauty of Song Dynasty, as if Conan's white light flashed behind his head, and all the stories were connected in series with perfect seams. These stories are repeated in history in order to break the shackles, love and freedom.

There is no shortage of crushing time in film narration, and there is no shortage of characters connected only through subtle connections. The cloud image that combines the two extends the time span to the Millennium and the geographical breadth to the universe. Coupled with the vast scenery that often appears in the picture, the overall momentum is magnificent. After all, freedom is a more majestic and difficult subject to learn, and the way of expression can't be conventional.

And it doesn't tell enough stories.

This is a rare feature film without tears.

The humorous story of an old man breaking into a nursing home, the inspirational story of a wealthy businessman's son-in-law who was saved by slaves and determined to liberate the movement, the story of people looking for their homes in the post-civilization era, the dystopian theme of human cloning, the short life of a gay composer, and the reporter ventured to report the conspiracy of an oil company.

Every single story has the ability to become a movie independently, but because of a subjective summary, it weakens the single story and strengthens the phantom series. The purpose is to present a reincarnation, a belief enlightenment of "closing one door and opening another".

Stories are encoded with various images, which makes you feel messy but can be sorted out. There is no question of understanding or not. As long as you understand each story separately, you will see the same theme, each one is to break through the system and pursue truth and freedom, and each one has love in it. Then put the idea of reincarnation into it, that is, the passage of history and the unity of the universe.

Perhaps the greatest victory of the cloud map in the story is that it connects these inconspicuous points in a complicated way. When you connect yourself in series, you will suddenly have a coolness. It's like taking a sip of soda in hot summer. But when the gas burps, this cool feeling disappears immediately. Therefore, the cloud image uses more elements to make up for the essential fracture and weakness in the story.

And the idea that the story itself wants to convey is the most touching part.

This is the dream of all mankind, and even the word history is insignificant. More and more people like to talk about the technology and expression of movies, but movies are originally just for telling stories, and telling stories is to tell us some truth and some enlightenment. So what is the purpose of the cloud map?

This is a kind of belief, a little mysterious. If you believe in fate, you will be reborn, and your lover will meet you and stay with you in different worlds. Dreams that have not been fulfilled in this life will continue in the next life and will always be realized in a certain life. At the same time, what can be pursued forever is freedom, disclosure of truth, sympathy and redemption of life.

As the film says, our civilization abuses the word freedom, and these iconic central sentences run through all the stories in the form of narration. Under the influence of such a theme, you have to feel a rich atmosphere. When all the stories revolve around such a grand theme, the cloud picture becomes logical and jaw-dropping.

The film review of Yuntu 1 I have heard the name of Yuntu for a long time, but I have never had a chance to find out who it really is. I can't help but watch it on the miles and miles these two days. The overall feeling can be described as "fleeting".

Many people say that the cloud image has connotation and power. I think it's a bit overestimated (or it may be related to the lack of good movies recently). But as far as film editing is concerned, Cloud Map is awesome: the perfect combination of editing and music, smooth and charming transformation, people have to admire it, which can be said to be literary addiction, but there are not many surprises in the plot expression of the whole film, and there is a feeling of "gorgeous for the sake of gorgeous".

The six stories are different in nature, so it is difficult to bring out the feeling of the last climax when they are intertwined, just like holding a strong desire to vent but waving in the air. Maybe it's because my headphones sound a little low and the music doesn't shock me very much (this seems to be the main reason? ), I didn't show interest at the end of the day when it was sensational. Compared with Batman, the plot of the cloud picture is tepid, all the battle scenes are dull, but the benefits are more real.

Another selling point of "Cloud Map" is the makeup with plastic properties. There were stories about the arrangement of actors' roles on the internet before, which made me forget the plot when I watched the movie and kept staring at who should wear makeup. Fortunately, I am not blind, and I can basically tell. As a result, the relationship between people was messed up by me, and it was a bit messy.

Many people say that cloud pictures can't be read. I think it's because they think too deeply about movies. There are countless interpretations of the film itself, so there is no need to over-interpret it. Sometimes, the entertainment purpose of the film itself can be achieved without asking for a solution. I don't think Cloud Map is that profound. Its theme is clear: the liberation and freedom of human nature, and the idea that one good deed deserves another. The evil taste of the Wachowski brothers and sisters is that they don't tell the story clearly, and they always like to leave a space of (yi), (da) and (dui) for the audience to think about, which is not excessive in the cloud picture, but it is carried forward in The Matrix. Making movies is our business, and how to understand it is your own business.

Nowadays, all good movies have the same tendency, that is, "high IQ", "multiple plot lines" and "seeing flowers in the fog after watching". This is like the little aborigines in Cloud Map, who pretend to know nothing, so they think the film is very powerful, the story is very deep, the plot is very connotative and so on. Because only in this way can we show our understanding and self-restraint, some directors have seized this mentality and produced more philosophical masterpieces than philosophical masterpieces.

In fact, "I don't know, but I think the calendar" is a commendatory term, indicating a creative attitude, that is,' I won't impose my ending on you, you have your wishes, you have your ideas, then you have your own ending'. This is very wise. People's thinking is different, so is their life. What the creator has to do is to give you a guide and let you find your own answer. This is why I prefer music to songs. I can understand music more freely without language restrictions.

In fact, blank space is a brilliant practice, and China's ink painting also knows this. Personally, I like to play this trick in movies. For example, Pi has done a good job at this point. Nolan likes to be mean at this point, such as Inception's last gyro. Isn't this just a joke? It is meaningless to interpret this blank in the movie, because the blank is for everyone's imagination. There are a thousand hamlets in the eyes of a thousand people. Forcing your Hamlet on others may ruin others' Hamlet. Communication is ok, but it is a slap in the face to think that your interpretation is absolutely correct.

Generally speaking, the cloud picture is a film that can't keep up. It played an extreme role in film technology, with a gorgeous cast and people applauding the performance. But the lack of plot, many ideas, but confidential, so it is difficult to borrow. My key is "Grandpa won't play with you!" Then trouble won't kill brain cells. Count as much as you know. However, this movie is still worth two weeks or n weeks. After all, many people have to struggle several times just to clarify the relationship between characters. If the ceiling is 10, I will give 8 points. The main reason for the breakdown is that the grasp of the plot is weak and the style of writing is a bit excessive.

PS: Personally, I feel that it might be better if Nolan, who has the editing skill MAX, makes the ending, at least he will definitely exchange the highest climax for everyone's applause.
