Whether Buddhist beads are used as ritual tools or as decorations worn on the wrist, most people know or have heard of Buddhist beads. Buddha bead bracelets are even more popular among today's fashionable young people. Some elderly people often use ebony beads or red sandalwood beads that have a history of many years. However, for young people who love DIY nowadays, prayer beads can also be made by themselves. Below, Xianyuan Wood Art will share with you the processing and production methods of Buddhist beads. The processing flow of Buddhist beads: 1. Raw materials: Square wooden blocks with side lengths ranging from 4 to 30 mm. The size can be selected according to personal requirements. 2. Tools: A hand drill, one or two drill bits, and some sandpaper from large to small sizes. 3. Step 1. If you are using large pieces of wood instead of already cut square pieces of wood, you first need to cut the wood yourself. Cut the wood into cubes of the same size according to the size of your desired beads. 2. Remove the edges and corners of these cut cubes to make them as close to spherical as possible. 3. This step may be difficult and requires careful and patient operation. After you have made your beads, all you need to do is drill the holes in the ball that you will later use to thread the string. The size of this hole is also determined according to the size of the bead itself. For example, if the diameter of the bead is 1.4mm, then the hole in the middle needs to be almost 1mm. It should be noted that the hole drilled must be drilled through, and it must be as straight as possible and not skewed. 4. This step requires the use of an electric drill. Place the ball on the drill bit and try to keep the ball on top as much as possible. Then turn on the electric drill and use sandpaper to perform the first preliminary shaping of the ball. After shaping one side of the ball, change to the other side. 5. The last step is to finely process the balls. This step requires fine sandpaper for careful polishing. This step is directly related to the final appearance of the beads, so it is recommended to spend more time and carefully polish and beautify them.
