The delayed open shape results from the deformation of the main trunk shape and the further falling of the central trunk to reduce the number of main branches. Therefore, the central stem is shorter, generally about 1.2 meters. There are 3 to 4 main branches, spaced 40 to 50 cm apart, equidistantly distributed in a spiral pattern on the central trunk. The upper and lower main branches cannot overlap, and only one can be selected each year.
If the side branches are cultivated and transformed, the main trunk will be shaped. The tree is about 3.5 meters tall and has a crown diameter of about 5 meters. It takes 6 to 7 years to take shape. The characteristics are that the tree has a natural shape and is easy to cultivate; the canopy is well illuminated, which is conducive to improving the volume of the fruiting area and fruit quality, and the canopy management is relatively convenient. However, due to the small number of main branches, it is difficult to increase the yield in the middle and early stages. This form is mainly suitable for areas with poor lighting conditions and prone to wind damage.
