The production of leather seats is divided into eight processes: seat disassembly, printing, leather cutting, sponge application, sewing, leather chair wrapping, leather chair decoration and reassembly. It takes 3.5 to 4 hours for a new car with a model, and an extra hour for a car without a model.

First, remove the seat (door trim)-it takes 30 ~ 45 minutes.

After the seat is removed, the original flannel covers should be removed one by one to expose the sponge inside the seat. In this way, the first step is completed.

When we take over a car with leather seats, the first step is to remove the seats safely. This program doesn't need high skill, but it needs experience. For some models (such as Audi, BMW and other high-end models), it is necessary to pay attention to safety, such as some cars with airbags. When you encounter this kind of vehicle, you must first find out the position of the airbag, and then move it as gently as possible to avoid affecting the airbag. Professional and technical personnel will never have an airbag burst when working!

Second, the version-for the first version of the model, it takes 45 ~ 60 minutes.

We keep a lot of installed models, so most cars don't need this step.

After the seat is removed, the second step is to "make a version", which has high technical requirements. In fact, whether the leather seat is beautiful, suitable or even successful, the production of the version is the most critical step. Everything else is possible only if the "version" is suitable.

Technicians will make detailed analysis and comparison according to the flannel cover of the original car, the shape of the seat and the shape of the seat sponge, and make "plates" of different sizes step by step. This process is very complicated and time-consuming. A set of leather seats needs dozens of "versions". However, when you make the "version" for the first time, you don't need to make the "plate" of the same type of seat in the future.

Third, cut the skin-it takes about 30 minutes.

"Cutting" means cutting the skin, cutting a whole skin into small pieces of different sizes according to the plate type. This process is also time-consuming and attaches great importance to the skills of technicians. Experienced technicians know the choice of leather surface and the collocation of plate type, so that leather can be used most reasonably.

There are about three ways to cut leather: knife cutting, cutting and machine cutting. There are no peeling machines in Beijing, and there are few peeling machines. Generally, knife cutting is the main method.

Fourth, apply a sponge-it takes about 20 minutes.

This process is very simple. After the leather is cut, put a layer of sponge on it (inside and outside). Sponge should be hit on leather by machine first, which is called "running film" in the industry.

Five, sewing-it takes 60 ~ 90 minutes.

Sewing is sewing, that is, sewing a piece of skin and sponge together in a fixed position with a machine. This is the most important technology in all programs. The first thing to choose is whether the opening line of the leather chair is straight and symmetrical. Therefore, we can see that when sewing, technicians can't run long lines like processing clothes, but run lines bit by bit, so as to ensure that the exposed opening line of leather chairs is absolutely straight. This process is also very time-consuming and laborious, and man-hours will account for about one-third of the whole construction process.

Sixth, the foreskin chair-it takes about 45 minutes.

We call processing leather seats "covering leather seat covers", and the word "covering" comes from this program. Leather seats should not wrinkle on the seat surface. To do this, of course, it has a lot to do with whether the model is suitable, but the leather is very thick and hard, and it is impossible for the appropriate model to have wrinkles. Therefore, when the model can't work, the process of "wrapping" begins to play an auxiliary role. Technicians first put the sewn leather on the seat, then fix it with the seat through nails, cloth strips and other accessories, and then perform preliminary plastic work such as flapping and grinding by hand.

After this process, the whole leather seat is formed.

Seven, refitting leather chair-time consuming 15 ~ 20 minutes.

At this time, there will still be some wrinkles in the leather seats, especially some seats with complicated shapes. Although it looks beautiful, in order to strive for perfection, it needs the final decoration work. The decoration tool is a baking gun, which is used to blow and bake in some dead corners of the seat. In this process, we should pay attention to the temperature of the baking gun and the distance between the baking gun and the leather. Although the special leather for automobiles has been particularly heat-resistant, if a baking gun with several hundred degrees is exposed to one place for a long time, the automobile leather can't stand it (be sure to pay attention to the temperature).

Eight, dressing, inspection and delivery-it takes 30 ~ 45 minutes.

Selection of leather materials:

Leather: no peculiar smell, little atomization, all physical properties of leather meet the leather standard of special automobile for leather industry, and meet the health and safety standards.

Accessories: (1) Sewing material: strong elasticity, not easy to draw, not easy to deform and break, and durable.

(2) Loading material: special steel wire and steel nail for automobile seat cover are selected, which is not easy to deform and has high strength.

Process standard:

Sewing: double symmetry, uniform spacing of single stitches, no needle jumping, no broken thread, no wireless head, no pinhole, straight and symmetrical, rounded curvature.

Loading: the holster is close to the seat and full, and the holster is not displaced or loose on the seat.

Precautions:

Cleaning method: clean and wipe with professional leather cleaning solution.

Maintenance method: regular polishing and waxing (three months).

Protection method: it is forbidden to scratch with hard objects, prevent high temperature, open flame and sun exposure, and keep the suitcase dry and clean.
