The air-vibration HZ-860 magnetoelectric speed sensor can convert angular displacement into electrical signals for the counter to count. As long as it is non-contact, it can measure the speed and linear speed of various magnetic materials such as gears, impellers, perforated disks (or grooves and screws).

4. Use precautions
1. When installing, the thread of the sensor housing M20× 1.5 or other specifications should not be damaged, and the hexagon nut should rotate freely. After the hexagon nut is tightened, there should be no looseness.
2. During installation, it is best not to contact the measured gear with the sensor. It is desirable to reduce the gap δ as much as possible to improve the amplitude of the output signal.

Three basic types of variable reluctance sensors, inductive sensor, transformer sensor and eddy current sensor, can be made into speed sensors. Inductive speed sensor is widely used, which uses the change of magnetic flux to produce induced potential, and its potential depends on the speed of magnetic flux change. According to the different structures, this kind of sensor can be divided into two types: open magnetic circuit type and closed magnetic circuit type. The open magnetic circuit type speed sensor (Figure 4a) has a simple structure and a small output signal, so it is not suitable for severe vibration. The closed magnetic circuit type speed sensor consists of an external gear, an internal gear, a coil and a permanent magnet mounted on a rotating shaft (Figure 4b). The number of teeth of the internal and external gears is the same. When the rotating shaft is connected with the shaft to be measured and rotates together, the reluctance changes due to the relative movement of the inner and outer gears, and an AC induced potential is generated in the coil. By measuring the potential, the corresponding speed value can be measured.
