I. Overview of the Centre

The Reproductive Medicine Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University was established in 1989, which is one of the most famous reproductive medicine centers in this field at home and abroad. From 65438 to 0997, the specialty of reproductive medicine was established on the basis of the center, and it became the key specialty of Guangdong Province in 2003. The total working area of the center is 1 100 square meters, of which the clean working area is 400 square meters, including clean and spacious specialist clinics, wards, well-equipped operating rooms, high-quality embryo culture rooms, tissue and cell cryopreservation banks and research laboratories. The operating room and embryo culture room are both advanced designed clean air laminar working areas. The center has complete clinical equipment for reproductive medicine and a series of advanced scientific research equipment, including 1 1 CO2 incubator, 6 black-and-white and color ultrasonic diagnostic instruments (including the latest Technos DU8 model), 4 hysteroscopes, laparoscopes, micro-operating systems and supporting microscopes, 2 program freezers, laser drilling instruments, gene analyzers, image analysis systems, fluorescence microscopes and electrofusion instruments. The center has completed more than 6000 cycles of assisted reproductive technology/KLOC-0. About 1000 cycles of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer, 350 cycles of frozen embryo transfer and 500 cycles of intrauterine insemination are carried out every year.

Two. Technical features Since the birth of the first in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) in our center on 1990, the clinical pregnancy rate of this technology has increased from 5% in the early stage to 35%~45% every year, and the monthly clinical pregnancy rate has reached 60%. The center took the lead in developing a series of assisted reproductive technologies in China, and 1996 carried out vaginal abortion for multiple pregnancies, which provided a reliable method for the treatment of multiple pregnancies, one of the main complications of assisted reproductive technologies. At present, it is still the most comprehensive, experienced and skilled center in China. In the same year, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) was used to treat severe male infertility, which was the first successful pregnancy delivery in China. On this basis, the clinical treatment and basic research of male patients with oligozoospermia and azoospermia will continue, and the fetus conceived by ICSI technology after epididymal and testicular sperm aspiration will be delivered for the first time in China. 1998 carried out the research and clinical application of human blastomere biopsy and preimplantation genetic diagnosis for the first time in China. In April and July, 2000, hemophilia and thalassemia gene carriers were diagnosed by PGD respectively, and a healthy baby was born smoothly. This technology has been further improved and provided services for a large number of patients. The center also carried out studies on in vitro maturation of oocytes and cryopreservation of eggs. Therefore, the center can provide a series of comprehensive reproductive medicine clinical services and provide more perfect solutions for infertile patients.

After years of practice, the center has not only mastered comprehensive assisted reproductive technology, but also accumulated rich experience in handling difficult cases. In addition, with the support of more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial research funds, the center has carried out a series of frontier scientific research related to assisted reproductive technology, such as the development of preimplantation gene diagnosis technology, the establishment of human embryonic stem cells, and the construction of reproductive tissues and cell banks. guide

Third, technological advantages.

The continuous development of technology is the greatest advantage of the center. 1996, which is listed as one of the five key specialties in Guangdong province. Since the Ninth Five-Year Plan, it has undertaken a number of scientific research projects, including 5 national natural science funds, 3 clinical key specialty projects of the Ministry of Health, 6 natural science funds of Guangdong Province, 2 doctoral start-up funds of Guangdong Province, 5 key scientific and technological research projects of Guangdong Province and 7 medical research funds of Guangdong Province. More than 80 papers have been published, including 6 cited by SCI, 4 published by international magazines and more than 40 published by domestic core journals. Won the second prize of the Ministry of Health for scientific and technological progress 1, the first prize and the third prize of Guangdong Province for scientific and technological progress 1.

Fourth, the talent advantage.

The center has a strong technical team, including 22 medical, technical and nursing staff. Among them, there are 2 doctoral supervisors and 6 master supervisors; There are 8 senior titles and 9 intermediate titles; Doctoral students 1 1 person, 6 master students.

Zhuang Guanglun, 1937, born, professor, doctoral supervisor. 1989, the "test tube baby" laboratory was established, and it was the academic leader of the four founders at that time. At present, he is also a respected and experienced academic predecessor in this field in China. Since then, conventional in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer techniques have been developed, and the intracytoplasmic sperm microinjection technique has been further developed. 1998 started the preimplantation gene diagnosis technology. In 2000, this technology was successfully used to select healthy embryos for couples with hemophilia and thalassemia and get pregnant. Over the years, more than 20 doctoral students have been trained, all of whom have become technical backbones in this field. Zhou Canquan, Director of the Center, 196 1 Born, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology, National Standing Committee of Family Planning Association of Chinese Medical Association, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Maternal and Child Health Association, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Branch of Chinese Obstetrics and Gynecology Association, Deputy Editor of China Journal of Practical Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Editorial Board of Journal of Reproductive Medicine. Is a young academic leader in the field of reproductive medicine in China. From 65438 to 0985, she studied for a master's degree in reproductive physiology. From 65438 to 0986, she began to engage in infertility treatment, ovulation monitoring and artificial insemination. 1989, one of the founders of this center, helped to establish and improve the in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer laboratory. Since then, he has been engaged in clinical and basic research on assisted reproductive technology and reproductive endocrinology. Long-term work has accumulated rich clinical experience in assisted reproduction. Initially, selective abortion was applied and improved in China to deal with early multiple pregnancies, and selective abortion through vaginal puncture was established. This technology has played an important role in controlling the occurrence of multiple pregnancies in assisted reproductive technology and improving the overall effect of assisted reproductive technology, and has become one of the conventional technologies in reproductive medicine. According to the development direction of the discipline, on the one hand, the research on the preservation technology of human reproductive capacity was carried out, and the first reproductive tissue and cell bank in China was built in the center. On the other hand, the establishment and directional induction of human embryonic stem cells have been carried out, and landmark results have been achieved. history

The Plastic Surgery Department of Zhongshan No.1 Hospital is one of the earliest plastic surgery departments in China, and it is also the unit that carries out plastic surgery in Guangdong Province. 1960, Professor Yu Guozhong was sent to the Third Hospital of Beijing Medical University, one of the national plastic surgery centers at that time, to study plastic surgery. After returning, he started plastic surgery in Guangdong Province. Then I sent people out to study plastic surgery.
