According to the Basic Medical Care and Health Promotion Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the state stipulates that hospitals prohibit doctors from accepting red envelopes and gifts, and citizens have the right to obtain basic medical and health services from the state and society according to law. The state establishes a basic medical and health system, establishes and improves a medical and health service system, and guarantees and realizes citizens' right to obtain basic medical and health services. Therefore, doctors in western theater hospitals don't accept red envelopes.
