At present, the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) plates are mostly processed by sintering and plunger extrusion, but the output is very low.
Generally, the following production processes are used to produce ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene sheets by molding:
1. Selection of raw materials
The quality of raw materials determines the quality of plate products. Only by selecting high-quality raw materials with molecular weight above 3 million, scientific formula and reasonable technology can we get high-quality products.
Mixed ingredients
First, check the performance index of raw materials (check the product inspection report), add various additives according to the determined formula ratio, put them into a high-speed mixer, mix them at a certain pressure and temperature, and fully discharge the water in the raw materials. If there are requirements for the color of the plate, corresponding pigments should be added according to the color requirements.
3. Pressurized plasticization
Put the mixed raw materials into the mold, add a certain pressure to exhaust the air in the raw materials, add high temperature to plasticize the materials in the mold into a transparent paste, and keep a certain temperature and pressure to fully plasticize them.
Step 4: Forming
After full plasticization, gradually reduce the temperature and add high pressure at the same time. The lower the temperature, the greater the pressure until the process requirements are met.
5. demoulding and molding
After being taken out of the mold, the board is manually shaped and put into the warehouse for transportation.
