1. Measure the size of the car window and cut the film according to the size. The size must be appropriate. If you are not sure, the size can be slightly larger, but never smaller.
2. Clean the car windows. This step is important because if there is any dirt left on the glass, even just a little bit, it will affect the effect of the film. First, spray water on the glass and use a hard scraper to scrape away the obvious dirt on the glass, and then use a soft scraper to scrape off the water marks on the glass. Repeat this three to four times until the water is completely removed.
3. Film. Tear off the film, spray water evenly on the effective film surface, and set the torn plastic film aside for later use. Leave a distance of 5-10mm from the top of the glass and stick the film surface to the car glass to fix it. Do not spray water at this time and use tape to fix the film. If the film is cut slightly larger, the excess film should be cut off without scratching the glass. Generally, 2-3 centimeters should be left around and the film can be finely cut after it is finalized.
4. Use your hands to smooth the film from the middle of the moisture-filled glass to both sides. It should be noted that if the film is cut vertically, there should be no air bubbles left on both sides of the glass, and it should be smoothed by hand. If the film will not be adsorbed on the glass, then you need to apply some water on the glass with your hands to make the film completely flat. Suction on the glass. After smoothing, divide the air bubbles into the upper and lower halves. After dividing, you can use a heat gun to bake and shape.
5. When baking and shaping, generally bake from the large arc downwards, and bake in circles so that the film is heated evenly. When baking the film, because the glass has no moisture, the film has a wide heat-absorbing surface and is not sensitive to heat. The response is also fast. When baking the film, you should pay attention to the fact that the temperature of the heat gun should be adjusted to the mid-range, not too high, otherwise the film will be easily burned, and at the same time, you should keep an eye on the shrinkage of the film.
