Shanxi Eye Hospital was established in 1978. After several generations' efforts, it has developed into a third-class first-class provincial eye hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching and blindness prevention. It is the world's first ground training center of ORBIS, Shanxi Red Cross Eye Hospital, Shanxi Ophthalmology Appraisal Hospital and International Emergency Rescue Network Hospital, ranking seventh in the list of national ophthalmic medical institutions.
