2. Then remove the rear taillight. Open the trunk lid. There is an opening in the trunk lining. Open it by hand, and you can see plastic screws with the taillights fixed inside. Unscrew the screw counterclockwise by hand, and then pull out the plug of the rear taillight harness. Carefully put the removed screws back in place for installation.
3. At this time, the screw and wire harness used to fix the rear taillight are removed. Hold the rear taillight by hand and gently pull it back, so that the rear taillight will be separated from the body, and the removed rear taillight should be put away. The disassembly method on the left and right sides is the same.
4. Then remove the screws that fix the rear bumper. Take out the small wheel with t-25 spline sleeve, remove the screws fixed on the left side of rear bumper and fender bushing, and remove the screws fixed on the right side and fender bushing. Put away the removed screws for installation.
5. Then, remove the screw that fixes the lower side of the rear bumper. Take out the small wheel, install the t-25 spline sleeve, and remove the screws under the bumper. The same removal screws are put together with the previously removed screws.
6. Remove the rear bumper. At this point, all the fixed safety screws are removed. Hold the edge of the rear bumper by hand, and break it gently to separate both sides from the body. Finally, the middle part is taken out of the guide groove to separate the rear bumper from the car body.
7. Remove the electric eye harness plug. Pull out the wire harness of the electric eye by hand, and be careful to move slowly, so as not to break the wire harness plug and damage the electric eye.
8. Remove the rear license plate lamp harness plug. Pull off the wire harness plugs of the rear license plate lamp by hand, one by one and two by one, thus completing the whole disassembly process of the polo rear bumper.
