In order to make their eyes look better, many beauty-loving women with single eyelids want to change their single eyelids into double eyelids. For them, they prefer to achieve this through double eyelid surgery. My own purpose, however, it takes a while to recover after double eyelid surgery. So, how long does it take to recover after double eyelid surgery?
It takes a certain amount of time to restore the natural appearance after double eyelid surgery, and the recovery situation is different for different surgical methods. The approximate time is about 3-6 months.
1. Recovery time for double eyelid surgery through incision. This method uses skin removal and fat removal. There are incisions in the operation, so the recovery time is relatively long. The recovery time is generally 5-7 days to remove the stitches, and the swelling is basically reduced in about 7 days. It takes about one to three months. The incision will basically recover over time, but it will take three to six months to completely return to a very natural state that makes it almost impossible to tell that a double eyelid surgery was performed.
2. Recovery time for Korean double eyelid surgery with small incision. Its recovery time is about 5-7 days. After the sutures are removed, the bruises will dissipate and the swelling will basically subside. It will take 1-3 months to fully recover. What is more recommended is that this method is permanent.
Precautions after double eyelid surgery are as follows:
1. Avoid getting the wound wet after surgery: Do not touch the wound with water before removing the sutures to avoid infection. Dip a cotton swab into erythromycin ointment and apply it to your eyes every day. If there is secretion on the eyes, you can use a cotton swab dipped in saline to clean it. Be gentle.
2. Use cold compresses within 24 hours after the operation, and hot compresses after 24 hours: After the operation, wrap ice in a towel and apply cold compresses to reduce swelling and prevent bleeding. Use hot compresses for 24 hours after surgery to reduce swelling.
