What's wrong with planting flowers and picking hearts? How should I choose?
Topping is the work of processing the reserved trunk, basic branch or side branch. Picking is determined according to the purpose and method of cultivation and the growth type of varieties. When the remaining trunk, basic branches and lateral branches grow to a certain number of ears and leaves (length), the top growth point is removed (the self-capped main stem does not need topping). Kerning can control the growth of heightening and elongation, which is beneficial to thickening growth and accelerating fruit development.

The coring of fruiting branches should be carried out 30 ~ 40 days before seedling drawing, that is, the bud is effective about 40 days before seedling drawing. For the side branches reserved as auxiliary branches, the standard is not to affect the light between plants and reach the planned number of leaves.

Heart harvesting should be done in the morning. If it is a fruit branch, 2 ~ 3 leaves should be left in front of the 1 inflorescence, which is not only beneficial to the growth of the fruit, but also can prevent the fruit from being directly exposed to the sun and causing sunburn.

After coring, the lateral branches grow vigorously, so the branching and coring of the lateral branches should be strengthened, otherwise the normal results will be affected.

Picking the heart refers to beating the new branches that germinated that year to the top. Picking the heart has two functions: first, it can promote branching, increase the amount of branches and leaves, and also alleviate the growth potential of young trees and avoid "taking big strips"; Second, it can promote the formation of axillary buds when the fruit is full. The above two points have different functions and different coring time. The first coring time is usually carried out from late May to mid-June when the new branches grow to semi-lignification, and about 1/3 of the new branches are removed, and at the same time, 1-3 leaves at the front of the branches after coring are removed to facilitate bud germination. It is neither too early nor too late to pick your heart. Because of premature coring, only one bud often germinates at the apex, and it is still a single line, which can not achieve the purpose of promoting branching; It is too late to pick the core, the new shoots are close to the peak, the germination ability is weak, and the branches are not ideal. The second kind of coring time should be 7- 10 days before the new shoots are capped, because it has little effect on promoting early shoots and late axillary bud formation. This effect is mainly suitable for trees in full fruit period, and has little effect on young trees.
