Under the core area of Badaling Great Wall, a world cultural heritage, and the Old Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway, a project that shocked the world is quietly advancing. Underground 102 meters, the rising Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed rail Great Wall Station connects Beijing and Zhangjiakou, which is not only one of the important transportation facilities for the 2020 Beijing Winter Olympics, but also an important part of the Beijing-Baolan Express Passenger Corridor, connecting northwest and north China.

Standing at the site of No.2 inclined shaft of Badaling Tunnel of China Railway Fifth Bureau, you can clearly see the beacon tower of Badaling Great Wall on the opposite mountain. Outside the construction site, a small station of the old Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway lay quietly on the hillside, and occasionally a train with only a few carriages passed by, which slowed down the time.
