1, plenty of light
Sunflower is a flowering plant that likes light very much. In some places, it is also called the sun-immortality. The better the light, the easier it is to bloom, and the brighter the color, the better the growth. When the light is insufficient, the branches and leaves are easy to grow in white, the small color of flowers is light, and the amount of flowers is small, so it is difficult to bloom continuously.
Therefore, when sun flowers are maintained, there should be at least five hours of light every day, and they should be maintained in a place with sufficient light. As long as there is no problem with watering, they are not afraid of the death of their grandson. Sunflower seedlings newly transplanted or cutted are not suitable for sun drying and are easy to dry up. Only potted sunflowers that grow normally should be dried.
Step 2 water regularly
Sunflowers need plenty of light, and because they bloom frequently and consume a lot of water, they should be watered frequently in summer and autumn to ensure that they will not dry up, otherwise the flowers and leaves will wither. If the water permeability and air permeability of the planted soil are not very good, it may be watered once a day or two. If the planted soil is permeable to water and air, it may be necessary to water it once in the morning and once in the evening.
In short, the basin soil should be watered when it is dry, and the number of watering times should be determined according to the quality of the basin soil. However, you shouldn't water sunflowers too often. If you water the basin soil before it is dry, it will easily rot the roots. Don't worry if the sun flowers rot. Cut off healthy branches. If they survive, they will open the whole pot.
3, more pruning
Sunflowers all have a slightly longer bud at the top of the new branch. The more new branches sprout, the more flowers will bloom. If the branches and leaves of sunflower are not lush enough, there will only be a small number of new branches, and more pruning will be done to let more lateral branches grow out, so that there will be more flowering bases.
If you have time, picking failed flowers in time every day is more conducive to the growth of new buds and improving the quality of flowering. Pruned sunflower branches can still be cut, they can still bloom after cutting, and they can be beautiful for a while in autumn.
4, thin fat and diligent application
Sunflowers are short of flowers, with small flowers and light colors, which are probably short of fertilizer. Sunflowers grow faster and have more flowers in summer and autumn. It is necessary to apply thin fertilizer frequently and replenish fertilizer in time to open a good state. Otherwise, even if it starts well, it will get worse and worse in the future.
Sunflower flowering needs a lot of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be the main one. But the sunflower blooms on the new branches, and a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer should be applied to ensure the normal growth of the new branches.
It is suggested to apply high phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer such as Huaduoduo No.2 to sunflower and spray it once a week. If there is no high phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer, add a little nitrogen fertilizer when applying phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and it will become a compound fertilizer. Or apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizer twice and then nitrogen fertilizer once respectively.
