Uterine malformations can be divided into several types: one is saddle uterus.
It looks more like a normal uterus, but it has a slight depression at the top. Saddle uterus generally does not make conception or pregnancy difficult.
Type Ⅱ: Uterine hypoplasia
Extremely rare. If the vagina develops abnormally or very short, there will be uterine hypoplasia, which means that the uterus may be small or there is no uterus at all. This situation is usually noticed when the menarche of girls is delayed.
Type 3: Double uterus
It means that the uterus has two uterine cavities, each of which leads to its own cervix and vagina, so a woman with two uterus has two cervix and two vagina at the same time. Similarly, this kind of uterine malformation is rare. If you have double uterus, it is possible to get pregnant successfully.
Type 4: unicornuate uterus
It is only half the size of a normal uterus and has only one fallopian tube. This is a very rare uterine malformation, which is caused by abnormal uterine development in the early stage of tissue formation. If you have a single horn uterus, you may have two ovaries, but only 1 is connected to the uterus. However, as long as the unicornuate uterus develops normally, it is possible to get pregnant successfully.
V-type: bicornuate uterus
It is not a normal pear shape, but a heart shape with a deep depression at the top of the uterus. This kind of uterine malformation is called double horn uterus because of its shape. Biangular uterus is a common uterine malformation, which should not affect your fertility. However, if pregnant, compared with the normal uterus, the fetal development space is smaller, so it is more prone to breech position.
Type 6: Uterine mediastinum
That is, the uterine cavity is separated by a muscular wall or a fibrous wall called the diaphragm. The length of this diaphragm may be only a part of the length of uterine cavity, which is called "incomplete mediastinum"; It may also extend from the base to the cervix, which is called "complete mediastinum". Incomplete mediastinum is more common than complete mediastinum. In rare cases, uterine mediastinum may lead to infertility.
Type of uterine malformation 1, unicornuate uterus.
This situation is due to the fact that only one side of the accessory mesonephric duct on both sides of the patient is fully developed, while the other side is not fully developed or penetrated, resulting in a situation of unicornuate uterus and possibly residual cornual uterus, so that there is no uterine orifice.
2. Uterine dysplasia
It is because the development of the accessory mesonephros on both sides stops in a short time, which makes the uterus dysplasia. There are many cases of uterine dysplasia, which may be caused by some diseases or some congenital factors, making the external cervix smaller and the uterus smaller than normal.
3. Biangular uterus
Because the end of accessory mesonephros tube has been mostly fused, it leads to mediastinal degeneration, and it is easy to form a single cervix and a single vagina, which will lead to incomplete convergence of the bottom of the uterus, and the uterus is in the shape of a double horn, forming a double horn uterus.
4. Mediastinal uterus
If the accessory mesonephric ducts on both sides of the female have all converged, but the mediastinum has not degenerated, the uterus is normal in shape, but the official cavity is divided into two parts. If the mediastinum has not completely degenerated, it will form an incomplete mediastinal uterus, but if the mediastinum extends to the vagina, it may cause vaginal mediastinum.
