The forehead is high, the nose is flat, and the mouth is protruding.
The eating habits of Thai people are similar to those in southern my country. The staple food is mainly rice, supplemented by flour. Northeastern people are accustomed to eating glutinous rice, and they like fruits and sweets after meals. Thailand is famous for its spicy and sour food, and is generally fatty. Therefore, people who can tolerate spicy food do not have to worry about eating Thai food.
There are not many taboos on the dishes, except that in the southern Muslim areas, halal dishes are eaten, just like the Hui people in my country. There are many seasonings used in Thai food, including chili pepper, shrimp paste, fish sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, etc. There are many Chinese in Thailand. In some big cities and tourist areas, there are Chinese restaurants opened by Chinese, with a full range of northern and southern flavors.
Notes:
Thai people are top-heavy, and feet are the lowest in people’s eyes. Because the climate in Thailand is like summer all year round, and Thai people in ancient times were accustomed to walking barefoot, their feet are considered the dirtiest. When you are sitting around with your Thai friends, never point the soles of your shoes at anyone. This is an insulting move that means stepping on someone's feet. It is even more disrespectful to use your toes, and kicking the door with your feet will be despised by people.
When delivering items to others, use your right hand, not your left hand. Because in ancient times, the left hand was used for dirty work such as wiping the buttocks after defecation, so it was also dirty. Handing things with the left hand was an act of contempt.
Do not sign in red pen. In Thailand, the name of the deceased is written on the coffin with red pen. A signature in red pen indicates that the person is dead.
Knowledge and learning are respected in Thailand. Do not sit with a book when you cannot find a stool to sit on. This is taboo.
