Changzhou, located in the south of Jiangsu Province, belongs to the south of Jiangsu Province. The problem is that Changzhou merged Jintan in northern Jiangsu, turning Jintan in Jianghuai Mandarin area into a district in Changzhou. Jintan accounts for 1 1% of Changzhou's population, and at least 50% of Jintan's population can only speak Subei dialect, so Changzhou is considered as Subei by some people.
