Exhibition hall introduction

Xihuang Temple, built in 165 1, is a famous royal temple directly under Lifan Academy in Qing Dynasty. Xihuang Temple Museum is also the only original Tibetan Buddhist culture museum in Beijing.

Xihuang Temple Museum is mainly composed of quiet towers with a history of nearly 300 years. The whole museum covers an area of about 20000 square meters. There are the Static City Tower and the Qianlong Imperial Pen Stone Carving Hall in the museum. Permanent exhibitions include the Sixth Panchen Lama Exhibition, the Third-level Academic Title Exhibition of Tibetan Buddhism, the Stone Carving Exhibition of Qianlong Imperial Paintings, and the Jingcheng Pagoda Exhibition. Temporary exhibitions include thangka exhibition and Buddhist culture and ceramics exhibition.

I went just in time for the Thangka Art Exhibition of China Arts and Crafts Master Ben. Seeing those thangkas on the spot, they are exquisite and delicate, and I have to admire the rich historical and cultural heritage of Tibetan Buddhism.

Because it was not open to the public before 20 18, the outside world paid little attention to the Xihuang Temple, so there were not many tourists in the courtyard, and there was a feeling of hiding quietly in the city. If you are tired of shopping, you can sit on the stone bench and take some photos later. I like to visit museums quietly, and don't miss friends who are looking for niche attractions. It's worth a visit.
