Jujube has a long cultivation history in China, and has accumulated some experience in shaping and pruning technology, but it has been in an extensive pruning state for a long time. After liberation, the research on plastic pruning has made great progress on the original basis, but the application of plastic pruning technology in production has not been paid attention to because jujube trees are easy to blossom and bear fruit after planting.

At present, most fruit trees in most jujube areas have unreasonable structure, irregular tree shape, scattered backbone branches and aging fruit branches, and their yield and quality have not reached the due level. The technical level of jujube farmers' tree cutting is still in the stage of empirical operation, and it has not reached the requirement of scientific adjustment according to the growth and development law of jujube trees. In the future, if we can pay more attention to the pruning technology in jujube tree management, there is still the potential to continue to improve the yield and quality.
