The problem of over-current reported by frequency converter may be related to external factors such as motor winding damage and cable short circuit at load side.

Internal factors of frequency converter

Current sampling elements, rectifying, shaping and comparing circuits in the inverter, or electronic circuit abnormality used to detect IGBT/IPM power module, or failure of power inverter module itself may lead to inverter overcurrent.

Inspection and maintenance
