Pomegranate planting technology and management
The planting and management of pomegranate trees include seedling selection, garden planting, water and fertilizer management, pruning and pest control.

1, seedling selection

Seedling selection is a very critical step in pomegranate planting. It is generally recommended to choose high-quality strong seedlings for planting, and the survival rate is also relatively high.

Step 2 set up a plantation

Pomegranate generally likes to grow in places with soft soil, fertile soil and good drainage. After the orchard is completed, it can ensure the sunny side of the orchard and improve the fruit-setting ability of pomegranate. Then, after the soil is straightened, apply enough organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer to ensure the uniform mixing of soil and fertilizer. Plant the selected strong seedlings at a certain distance, pour appropriate amount of water and cover them with fine soil.

3. Water and fertilizer management

In order to achieve high yield of pomegranate, it is necessary to apply sufficient organic fertilizer to improve sufficient nutrients for seedling growth, sufficient organic fertilizer and nitrogen fertilizer at seedling stage, and a small amount of phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer. During flowering, urea and calcium superphosphate should also be sprayed on the leaves, and basic fertilizer should be supplemented after harvesting to restore tree nutrition. In addition, pomegranate needs to be watered regularly to ensure the quality of the results, and water should be used for fertilization to promote nutrient absorption.

4, plastic pruning

Long branches should be removed during the growth period of young pomegranate trees, and 2 ~ 3 main branches should be cultivated at seedling stage, and then the dense branches with excessive growth should be thinned to reduce the consumption of nutrients. When clearing the garden in winter, we should remove the dense branches and branches of pests and diseases, and match them with short shears to form a tree with coordinated fruiting branches.

5, pest control

Pomegranate is prone to yield reduction in case of plant diseases and insect pests. Pruning regularly to ensure that there are no branches and dead branches in the orchard can reduce the source of the disease, and spraying sulfur mixture on the trees to reduce the occurrence of plant diseases and insect pests.
