Why are hibiscus flowers still wet in winter and their leaves are old?
The reason why hibiscus leaves fall in winter is low temperature, insufficient light and poor ventilation.

Generally speaking, although hibiscus flowers have fallen leaves, as long as the branches are not frozen or fresh, they will wake up when the temperature is above 15℃ in spring. Hibiscus is resistant to pruning, and it is beneficial to plant formation and increase ornamental value when it is cut or pruned again in winter and spring. Combined with watering and fertilization, plants will thrive and produce many flowers.

Fusang is also known as Zhu Jin Peony, Fosang, Zhu Jin and Dahonghua. It is an evergreen shrub or small tree of Malvaceae, with a plant height of1-3m. The stems are erect and much branched. Leaves alternate, apex acuminate, indehiscent, and leaf margin coarsely serrate. Flowers are solitary in leaf axils. They are big, red, pink, orange, yellow, pink and white. Flowers are divided into single petals and double petals. Capsules are ovoid and bloom in summer and autumn. It is the national flower of Malaysia, Sudan, Fiji and the state flower of Hawaii. Originated in the south of China, it is not cold-tolerant, drought-tolerant, and likes warm, humid and sunny environment. Fertile soil and good drainage system are needed. Branches have strong germination ability and are resistant to pruning. The suitable growth temperature is 15-25℃, and the overwintering temperature is not lower than 5℃, otherwise it is easy to cause freezing injury. It can still grow normally at a high temperature above 30℃. Fusang is a strong positive plant, and it needs enough sunshine to grow and bloom normally during the growing period. If the light is insufficient, the flower buds are easy to fall off, and the flowers are small and the color is dim. However, if the sun is too strong, the plants will burn, so it should be properly protected by shading in hot summer. Fusang is resistant to humidity and afraid of dryness. During the growing period, the basin soil is kept moist, and the stems and leaves grow rapidly. If the water supply is insufficient, the leaves are easy to wilt, turn yellow and fall off, and should not be too wet. Fusang likes fertilizer, and it is appropriate to apply fertilizer regularly during the growing period. Cutting is the main way of reproduction.
