2. Point gate

The point gate of plastic mold is a kind of gate with small cross-sectional area like a needle, which is generally used for plastic with good fluidity. The length of the gate is generally smaller than its diameter, and the gate is automatically cut off after demoulding without correction. However, the gate residue is not obvious, which is widely used in box cover, box shell and large-area products. A parting surface can be added to the mold to facilitate the nozzle demoulding.

3. Disc gate

The disc gate of the plastic mold extends along the outer circumference of the product, and its feeding point is symmetrical and the mold filling is uniform, which can eliminate the bonding line and is beneficial to exhaust. The nozzle is usually removed by punching, and the punching process should be paid attention to when designing.

4. Straight door

The sprue of plastic mold enters the mold cavity from the main runner, which is suitable for shell-shaped and box-shaped molds with single cavity and deep cavity. Its flow channel is short and the pressure loss is small, which is beneficial to exhaust, but it is not convenient to remove the gate and will leave obvious marks.

5. Side gate

The side gate of plastic mold is generally set on one side of the mold, and glue is injected from the inside or outside on the parting surface. The cross section is mostly rectangular, which is suitable for one mold with multiple holes.

6, dive door

The hidden gate of plastic mold lurks on the parting surface in an inclined way, which can automatically cut off the pin gate when injecting glue into the side or inside of the product and demoulding, which is suitable for automatic production.
