NBA Finals was called NBA World Championship Series before 1986. The game adopts the 7-game system of 2-3-2, and the player with better results in the regular season will gain an advantage at home. The first, second, sixth (if necessary) and seventh (if necessary) of the series will be held at their home. The first team to win four games will win the final championship, win the Larry O 'Brien championship trophy, and all members of the champion team will receive a championship ring. There is also a Finals MVP Award (renamed Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player in 2009), which is awarded to the player who performed best in the series (the first Finals MVP was awarded to the runner-up team Lakers with 1969).
