1937 after the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he was rescued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, released from Suzhou Introspection Institute, and went to Wuwei, Anhui Province to carry out anti-Japanese and national salvation propaganda. Soon he was transferred back to Hainan by the party organization and served as the organization minister of Qiongya Special Committee in the winter of the same year. At the same time, the guerrillas of the three provinces were co-edited as the column and political commissar of the China People's Liberation Army in the Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi border region.
