What are mechanical refrigeration refrigerators and direct cooling refrigerators? What type of refrigerator do most refrigerators currently belong to?

Hello!

Mechanical refrigeration is what you call direct cooling.

There are currently three main refrigeration methods for refrigerators on the market, namely "direct cooling", "air cooling" and "mixed cooling".

Direct cooling or frost-resistant refrigerators. The freezer compartment is directly surrounded by an evaporator, or there is an evaporator in the freezer compartment, and there is an evaporator in the upper part of the refrigerator compartment, and the evaporator directly absorbs heat to cool down. This type of refrigerator has a relatively simple structure, low power consumption, and good freshness preservation effect. It requires regular defrosting of the refrigerator freezer.

Intercooling (air-cooled) or frost-free refrigerator. There is a small fan inside the refrigerator that forces the air inside the box to flow, so the temperature inside the box is even, the cooling speed is fast, and it is easy to use. However, the defrost system consumes a lot of power, and the fan inside the box makes the refrigerator noisy. It is easy to dry food, and the manufacturing of the refrigerator is relatively complicated.

Mixed cooling refrigerator. This type of refrigerator has been widely used in new products in recent years, mainly because it takes into account the advantages of both air-cooled and direct-cooling refrigerators. Generally, the freezer adopts air-cooling type to avoid the trouble of defrosting, while the refrigerator compartment adopts direct cooling type to enhance the preservation effect of vegetables and fruits. The manufacturing process is complex and the cost is high.
