Pure external force, such as falling or mutual biting between animals, causes the abdominal wall muscle layer or peritoneum to rupture, but the surface skin remains intact, or the suture in the abdominal wall incision breaks and the incision splits after abdominal surgery. The rupture of muscularis ventralis may be the rupture of external oblique muscle, internal oblique muscle and transverse abdominis muscle, while the rupture of muscularis ventralis is mainly the rupture of rectus abdominis or anterior pubic tendon.

First, the diagnosis points

The skin of the abdominal wall is cystic, and there may be trauma marks such as abrasions and contusions on the skin. Hernia sac varies in size, and its volume changes with the filling and emptying of hernia contents. Feel its texture is soft and hard (different from organ prolapse), neither hot nor painful nor warm. The hernia ring can be felt in the early stage, and the contents of the hernia are acceptable. For a long time, due to local inflammation, the outline of hernia is unclear and the contents of hernia cannot be recovered. If incarceration occurs, it will cause symptoms of acute abdominal hernia.

Acute traumatic abdominal hernia is often accompanied by multiple injuries, so it is necessary to stabilize the condition and improve the overall situation before surgical repair of abdominal hernia. The operation site is at the hernia sac, and the reduction principle is the same as that of umbilical hernia operation. In the case of abdominal wall hernia, mattress suture or tension-reducing suture is used to strengthen the tension of abdominal wall fissure. After the rupture of the anterior pubic tendon, the wound is generally not easy to close.
