The Ninth Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation: China Aerospace Electronics Technology Research Institute, affiliated to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, was established on the basis of China Aerospace Times Electronics Company, and is a large-scale scientific research and production consortium specializing in aerospace electronics.

There are several subordinate units in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Shaanxi, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Guilin, Zhengzhou and other provinces and cities. It is the largest shareholder of listed company Rocket and the second largest shareholder of ZTE and Aerospace Power.

The Ninth Academy has the only comprehensive research and precision machining base of beryllium in China, and the first batch of aerospace systems have passed the integrated circuit test center and fault analysis center, inertial navigation test center and national engineering research center for satellite navigation application recognized by the military. It is the research and development center of precision guidance and information countermeasure technology of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and the research and application center of ultra-precision machining technology of national defense science and technology industry.
