The carbon steel plate is made of plain carbon steel or carbon steel, and its carbon content is less than 2. 1 1%, and no metal elements are added. In addition to carbon, it also contains a small amount of elements such as sulfur, silicon, phosphorus and manganese. Carbon steel plate can be divided into low carbon, medium carbon and high carbon according to carbon content. According to the purpose, it can be divided into tools, structures and free-cutting structural steel; It can be divided into boiling steel, semi-killed steel, killed steel and special killed steel according to deoxidation ways. According to smelting methods, it can be divided into converter steel, open hearth steel and electric furnace steel.
Advantages of carbon steel plate:
1. After heat treatment, the hardness and wear resistance can be improved.
2. Suitable hardness and good machinability during annealing.
Its raw materials are very common and easy to find, so the production cost is not high.
Disadvantages of carbon steel plate:
1, the thermal hardness is not good. When used as a tool material, the hardness and wear resistance will become worse when the temperature exceeds 200 degrees.
2. The hardenability is not good. The diameter is usually maintained at 15 ~ 18mm when quenched with water, but the diameter and thickness are usually 6 mm when not quenched, which is easy to cause deformation or cracking.
