My dog has given birth to puppies for more than two months. What about vaginal hyperplasia? It seems quite serious, but there is no pet hospital in a small place. Can I operate it myself?
Vaginal hyperplasia refers to a common exogenous disease of vaginal mucosa, which is swollen and hypertrophy and protrudes backward from vulva. More common in estrus and estrus puppies. The reason is that excessive estrogen secretion during estrus causes edema and hyperplasia of vaginal mucosa, and then prolapse outward outside the vulva, which may be related to heredity. At first, the dog's perineum became hard, his labia became swollen and congested, and he licked his vulva frequently. Later, he became restless and lay still. Expose red hyperplasia. The swelling is round and firm, with different sizes, and the swollen part is smooth, often taking off outside the vulva. For mild cases, 2-3 mg of megestrol acetate can be given, or 2-5 mg of progesterone can be injected into muscle per kilogram of body weight once a day for 5-6 days to promote the regression of growth. If prolapsed outside the vulva during the growth period, it should be surgically removed. Specific methods. Rinse the vagina and grow, annularly remove the base, stop bleeding in time, suture the mucosal wound continuously with absorbable thread, and inject antibiotics continuously for 4-5 days to prevent infection.
