Scoliosis is a three-dimensional deformity of the spine, including coronal, sagittal and axial sequence abnormalities. The treatment of scoliosis can be divided into two categories, namely non-surgical treatment and surgical treatment. Common non-surgical treatments include physical therapy, gymnastics therapy, plaster cast, braces and so on. But the most important and reliable method is brace treatment. Generally, idiopathic scoliosis within 20 degrees can be observed at close range without treatment. If it gets worse than 5 degrees every year, you should use braces. Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis with initial diagnosis of 30 ~ 40 degrees should be treated with braces immediately, because more than 60% of the patients in this group will develop and deteriorate.
