(1) If the soil in the nursery is dry, the root soil of Acer truncatum should be thoroughly watered the night before the seedlings are taken, and watered again the next day (two hours after the seedlings are dug), so that the root soil is not easy to fall off and the plants are not easy to lose water after the seedlings are taken.
② For Acer truncatum Bunge with a diameter of 12- 15cm, root soil balls with a diameter of 50-60 cm and a depth of 50-60cm should be used when digging seedlings.
(3) Care should be taken when raising seedlings. Root soil should not be sown, and it should be fastened with straw mats and straw ropes in time to avoid root soil scattering.
(4) After the root ball is tied, immediately cut off the ends of 30-40cm of all branches (plastic surgery is carried out at the same time), seal the wound with plastic film in time, and remove 80% of the leaves (don't be in the planting place, so as not to emit moisture during transportation).
⑤ Timely transplanting is the key. Dig the field planting pit in advance before taking the seedlings, carefully carry them in place and plant them in time.
⑥ You said that "the soil in the transplant site is cohesive soil", so it doesn't matter that Acer truncatum has strong adaptability, but it depends on whether it is native or backfilled. If it is native, it is necessary to dig a planting pit that is more than twice as large as the soil ball, and also dig a culvert that can seep away the water at the bottom of the pit. If it is backfill soil, as long as there is no low-lying water, there is no fresh lime, cement and oil pollution in the cultivated soil.
⑦ When putting the saplings into the planting pit, don't take off the straw mats and straw ropes (straw mats and straw ropes have little organic nutrition, so don't worry about rotting and burning the roots), just put them into the soil cover, pat them firmly and pour them thoroughly.
⑧ After cultivation, a sun screen should be hung on the crown of Acer truncatum in time to avoid being sunburned by the scorching sun in Wuhan before recovery.
If these eight items are carefully done, the survival rate of Acer truncatum transplanted from June to July can reach 100%.
