First, the choice of saw blade tooth type
The tooth types of circular saw blades are divided into left and right teeth, tapered teeth, flat teeth, trapezoidal teeth and crescent teeth. In practical use, it is mainly selected according to the types of sawn raw materials.
The left and right teeth are suitable for longitudinal cutting and transverse sawing of various soft and hard materials and particleboard; The left and right teeth are equipped with anti-rebound protection teeth, which are suitable for longitudinal cutting of various ribbed plates; The left and right tooth saw blades with negative rake angle are usually used for sawing veneers because of their sharp teeth and good sawing quality.
Tapered teeth are usually used for slotted saw blades of plate saws. When sawing wood-based panels with double veneers, the slotting saw completes the slotting of the bottom surface, and the main saw completes the sawing of the panels to prevent the chipping at the kerf.
Flat teeth are mainly used for sawing ordinary wood. This kind of saw blade is low in cost, but its kerf is rough.
The combination of trapezoidal teeth and flat teeth can also obtain high sawing quality, and the veneer will not crack during sawing, which is suitable for sawing various double-sided artificial boards.
Second, the choice of sawtooth angle
The angle parameters of sawtooth part are complicated, and the correct selection of saw blade angle parameters is the key to determine the sawing quality. The most important angle parameters are rake angle, rake angle and wedge angle (Figure 2).
The rake angle mainly affects the force consumed by sawdust. The larger the rake angle, the better the sharpness of sawtooth cutting, the lighter it is to saw and the more labor-saving it is to push. Generally, when the processed material is soft, choose a larger rake angle, otherwise choose a smaller rake angle.
The relief angle mainly affects the friction between the back tooth surface and the sawn material, and is generally taken as 12-20.
