Excessive humidity
Using wet wood to make wooden pallet and wooden boards, in wet and rainy seasons, will be the main factors leading to mildew.
Main mold
The main molds are Trichoderma and Aspergillus Niger, which can cause green and black spots on the wood surface respectively.
The temperature is too high or too low
Mold can only grow in a certain temperature range, with its most suitable growth temperature, highest growth temperature and lowest growth temperature. The optimum temperature for fungal growth is 24℃ ~ 30℃, which is lower than 10℃ and higher than 40℃, the growth rate of fungi is slow.
Excessive moisture content in wood.
When the moisture content of wood exceeds 20%, mold can grow slowly; When the humidity of wood is above 35% and other growth conditions are suitable, mold will multiply in large numbers.
Remedial measures after mildew
Remedial measures after mildew generally include: drying, fumigation, heat treatment, anti-corrosion, mildew prevention, painting or varnish!
