It is normal for male cats to have a small amount of blood on their wounds after sterilization, which is caused by the rupture of capillaries. They can heal themselves, so don't worry. But if it is bleeding, it needs to be sent to the hospital immediately.
Nursing care of male cats after sterilization
1, correctly deal with male cat vomiting.
Many cats will vomit within three or four days after surgery. This is because anesthetics have a normal response to gastrointestinal irritation and do not need to go to the hospital. If the cat vomits and refuses to drink water, give it 0.9% sodium chloride (normal saline) or go to the drugstore to buy oral rehydration salt granules.
2. Feed the cat a medicine to treat postoperative pain.
The night after the operation, the male cat will feel severe pain. The cat keeps barking, which means it can't stand the pain. General painkillers are ineffective for postoperative pain. If you can't get an analgesic injection at home, go to the drugstore to buy tramadol, which is a postoperative analgesic. Give the cat half a tablet every six hours for two days in a row.
Don't force the cat to eat.
In general, if there are no other diseases, it doesn't matter if the cat doesn't eat for a few days. When its gastrointestinal function is weak, forced feeding can also cause vomiting. The cat itself has a strong regulatory ability. If it is in a better state, it will automatically eat.
