Does XPE belong to sports?
XPE is a kind of PE, and XPE is a chemical PE foam made by foaming PE raw materials. XPE foam is a kind of chemically crosslinked polyethylene foam material (Shanghai Zhongtian Rubber & Plastic Co., Ltd. is a professional foam manufacturer), which is formed by continuous foaming of low density polyethylene resin, crosslinking agent and foaming agent at high temperature. Compared with EPE (physical foamed polyethylene, commonly known as pearl cotton), it has higher tensile strength and finer cells. XPE is an ideal thermal insulation material for automobiles and air conditioners. In recent years, it has developed rapidly in the sports and leisure products market, such as surfboards, moisture-proof mats and yoga mats. It also has a certain use in architecture, and has a wider application in flame retardant materials.

Polyethylene Polyethylene (PE) is one of the five major synthetic resins, which has the largest domestic capacity and the largest import volume. Polyethylene is mainly divided into three categories: linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE) and high density polyethylene (HDPE).

Formability

1. Crystalline materials have low hygroscopicity, do not need to be fully dried, have good fluidity and are sensitive to pressure. High-pressure injection is required during molding, with uniform material temperature, fast filling speed and sufficient pressure keeping. The sprue is not suitable to prevent uneven shrinkage and increase internal stress. Pay attention to the selection of gate position to prevent shrinkage and deformation.

2. The shrinkage amplitude and shrinkage value are large, the directionality is obvious, and it is easy to deform and warp. The cooling speed should be slow, and the mold is equipped with a cold cavity and a cooling system.

3. The heating time should not be too long, otherwise it will decompose and burn.

4. When the soft plastic parts have shallow side grooves, they can be forcibly demoulded.

5. The melt may crack, so it is not suitable to contact with organic solvents to prevent cracking.

Namely, high pressure low density polyethylene (LDPE), high density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE). Film is its main processing product, followed by sheets and coatings, hollow containers such as bottles, cans and barrels, and other various injection and blow molding products, insulation and sheathing of pipes, wires and cables. Mainly used in packaging, agriculture and transportation sectors.

The density of commercial high-density polyethylene is 0.945 ~ 0.96g/cm3, and the melting point is 125~ 137℃. Linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) with density of 0.925g/cm3 and melting point of120 ~125℃; The density of HP-LDPE is 0.9 18g/cm3, and the melting point is 105~ 1 15℃.

Usage feature

App application

Plastic wrap, vest plastic bag, plastic food bag, milk bottle, barrel, kettle, etc.

characteristic

PE is soft, feels like wax, is lighter than the same plastic, has certain transparency, and the flame is blue when burning.
