According to the Beijing Times, Tang Guangxi, who suffers from the strange disease of "dragging hands", has many horny "branches" on his hands and feet, covering them completely, just like wearing four big mops (pictured). On the 9th, Tang Guangxi told reporters that after careful treatment by doctors in the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, he finally got rid of the annoying mops on his hands and feet and will start a normal life again.
Tang Guangxi, from Xichang, Sichuan, has suffered from boils since he was a teenager. Since 199 1, he has been suffering from boils on his hands and feet.
The boils grew bigger and bigger, and he began to seek medical treatment everywhere, but taking medicine, injections, soaking potions and other means didn't work. Furuncle not only did not decrease, but also grew horny "branches" about 10 cm long. For more than ten years, Tang Guangxi could not wear shoes on his feet or hold things with his hands. He can only stay at home at ordinary times, and even needs his wife to help him get dressed.
At the beginning of this year, Wang Chen, director of dermatology department of China-Japan Friendship Hospital, discovered Tang Guangxi, a patient who was "unable to live long", when he went to Sichuan for support. In April this year, Tang Guangxi received free antiviral treatment, and came to Beijing for keratotomy and wart radiotherapy on June 8. Now, Tang Guangxi's hands and feet have basically returned to the normal five-finger shape, but due to years of inactivity, his hands and feet still need some joint flexion and extension training and plastic repair.
Wang Chen, director of the dermatology department of China-Japan Friendship Hospital, said that "boils", whose scientific name is verruca vulgaris, are flat hard objects born on the skin due to human papillomavirus infection, generally the size of rice grains or soybeans. But like Tang Guangxi, warts have grown alternately for more than 20 years, breeding many horny "branches". At present, no similar information has been found in the medical field.
As for the cause of "Dunbu Shou", Wang Chen believes that it is caused by infection with a mutated human papillomavirus.
