Growth habit of magnolia tree
Moisture: Magnolia trees are afraid of drought and waterlogging. Too wet will rot the roots. When the external environment is dry, water them thoroughly in time.
Soil: Choose fertile and well-drained culture soil for planting Magnolia, and never use cohesive soil or fine sand with poor air permeability.
Temperature: Magnolia likes heat but is not cold-resistant. 1~2 years after sowing magnolia seedlings in midsummer, we should properly shade and not expose ourselves to the sun. Cold and windproof measures should be taken after winter.
Pruning: Pruning time of Magnolia grandiflora should be chosen after flowering or before a large number of buds, and parallel branches, clustered branches, over-dense branches and diseased branches should be cut off to avoid excessive consumption of nutrients.
