Tiger Mountain is in the northwest of Sioux City. The mountain is not high, but there are many historical sites. Therefore, it has the reputation of "the first scene in Wuzhong". Gu in the Southern Dynasties said in the preface to the Tiger Hill: "If you are in the mountains, there is no cloud, no invisibility, humble and shallow forest. A few times, it was Duran and Moss. Wan Ren planted branches, hung vines and kudzu vines to hang radishes. Qujian gurgled and retouched. When the road is closed, the stones are broken and decorated. Famous mountains suppress great beauty and believe in Wu Sheng. " "Emperor Wu Ji" also said: "Huqiu Mountain is the table of rivers and Zuo Qiu, with steep rocks and deep forests." Huqiu Temple was founded in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and flourished in the Song Dynasty. It is one of the "Five Mountains and Ten Temples" in the Song Dynasty. Pagoda Buddha Hall, heavy building flying pavilion, Song Fang Zhong You has a poem "Going out of the city to see the pagoda, going into the temple to climb the mountain". Su Dongpo also said, "It's a pity to go to Suzhou instead of Tiger Hill."
From "Haiyong Mountain" to "Tiger Hill"
In ancient times, Suzhou was a vast bay. When the tide surged, the ridge of Tiger Hill Cliff, one of the islands, was looming. The ancients compared it with the legendary Penglai and Yingzhou Xiandao, and called it Haiyong Mountain. Over the years, the sediment of the Yangtze River has been deposited here, and "the lonely hill starts from the flat ground", and Haiyong Mountain has become a hill on the Taihu Plain. Zheng Sixiao, a poet in the Song Dynasty, wrote a poem "Tiger Hill": "When the sea comes, thunder breaks the pulse. It cracked thousands of feet deep, embedded in the air, and cut the pale wall. The rocks are milky, and the iron flowers are green in autumn. He Lvyun is empty, and the silver tiger has gone without a trace. Jiaolong Town is in danger, protecting the Chu family. " At present, the relics related to the "sea surge" are: Qianshi, a huge rock in the mountain, is a rhyolite silver-gray rock formed by volcanic eruption washed by waves; There are pebbles in the sea beside the mountain road; There is a granite "sea bridge" at Ershanmen; The stone tablet of "Hai Yongfeng" is embedded in the wall of Cui Yongshan Villa; Hanhan spring is known as "the spring at the bottom of the well dives into the sea".
There are many legends about the renaming of Haiyongshan as Tiger Hill. According to historical records, He Lv, the king of Wu, was wounded and died in wuyue War. His son Fu Cha was buried with 100,000 people outside Nagato, Wuxian County for three days, and he took soil from the lake, hence the name Tiger Hill. "The Spring and Autumn Annals of Wu Yue" and "Yue Jue Shu" contain: He Lu was buried in five counties, with triple bronze coffins, mercury fillings, gold and silver as pits, and Zhuan Xu's "fish intestines" and other three thousand swords as martyrs. Buried for three days, Jin Jing got up and turned into a white tiger, squatting on it and named it Tiger Hill. In addition, Qin Shihuang traveled east here to dig the tomb of Wu and find the sword. When he saw a white-fronted golden-eyed tiger crouching on the grave, he drew his sword and hit the tiger. He accidentally bumped into a rock, and the tiger escaped to the tiger's den (now Hushuguan) and disappeared without a trace, so it was called Tiger Hill. In addition, in the Song Dynasty, Zhu said: "The mountain is like a crouching tiger, hence its shape." . Mountain scenery is also like a tiger's head. The front door is a tiger's head, the front two wells have eyes, and the wind wall is called two ears. Linjiang original stone steps are teeth, and broken beam halls are throats. The Xishan Bridge on the Shantang River and the Dongshan Bridge around the mountains and rivers are two outstretched front paws. Mountains are tiger bodies, forests are tiger hairs, and tiger hills are like tiger tails. It's really powerful.
There are many celebrities who lived in Tiger Hill in the past dynasties, and there are also many stories spread. When Bai Juyi was appointed as the secretariat of Suzhou in the Tang Dynasty, he presided over the excavation of a 7-mile-long river canal in front of the mountain, namely "Qili Mountain Pond". The river runs from north to south and reaches the Grand Canal. The mounds dug in the river are built into dikes, on which lotus flowers are planted and peaches and plums are planted. Both land and water can reach the foot of the mountain. Bai Juyi has a poem saying: "Live well on the lake embankment and stay long." Wu people call this dike "Baigong Dike" (now Shantang Street). Su Song Dongpo once "stayed in Tai Su for three years". After Wang Yucheng was moved to Kyoto by Changzhou Order of Suzhou, he said that "the dream is still remembered as the Tiger Hill". Xu Jin, the right assistant minister of Li Mingbu, also said: "I have traveled all over the world all my life, and I have only traveled to the Tiger Hill tirelessly."
San Jue JIU yi
In the Song Dynasty, Zhu said that Tiger Hill had "three wonders", namely: "The shape of looking at the mountain is not across, and those who climb it will see the peaks and cliffs, and the potential is endless, and it is a must; Near Guo, the Yuan Dynasty was established, and there was no continuity next to it. It is a panoramic metropolis with a dome in the west, marine hazards in the north and earthquakes in Cangzhou. Clouds are everywhere. If you look around, you can know Wan Li. The sword is bright, and the sea invades the clouds. If you don't make a profit, you will make a profit, and the profit will be three wonders. " In the Ming Dynasty, Li said that Tiger Hill has "nine clothes", namely, it is suitable for the moon, snow, rain, smoke, Yichun Xiao, summer, autumn, falling flowers and dusk, and it is suitable for all seasons.
The theory of moon suitability was quite elegant in ancient times. Every Mid-Autumn Festival night, it has become a traditional custom for people in Wu to visit Tiger Hill in the whole city. Yuan Hongdao, a writer in the Ming Dynasty, wrote in "Listening to Songs in Tiger Hill" that on the Mid-Autumn Festival night, the whole family in Wuzhong City joined hands and arrived at Tiger Hill. Hundreds of singers "thundered and thundered, and achieved nothing". Zhang Dai, an Amin, wrote in "Mid-Autumn Night in Tiger Hill", "In August and a half in Tiger Hill, there are all the people, including aborigines, stone symbols, family members, female musicians, vocal singers, famous prostitutes in the Song Dynasty, opera women, folk women, young children, child molesters, vagrants, hooligans, diners and so on. Since the birth of Gongtai, Qianshi, Hexi, Jianchi and Shengong Temple, down to Jianshishi, the first and second mountain gates, all sat on the floor, looking up like wild geese falling flat sand, Xiapu Jiangshan ... turned upside down, thunder rumbled, and the call was not heard. " It serves to show the grand occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival in Tiger Hill.
The lion looked back at Tiger Mountain.
Not far from the southwest of Tiger Hill, there is a hill that looks like a lion holding its head high and glaring at Tiger Hill. It is called "The lion looks back at Tiger Hill". Legend has it that in ancient times, wild animals appeared in Haiyong Mountain. There is a hero who catches animals named Ah Fu. Every time he killed a wild animal, he drew a pattern on his body, which frightened the birds and animals. One day, a man-eating monster with a lion-like appearance, a bat-like mouth and wings covering the sky came. Ah Fu was helpless at the moment, so he followed the villagers who offered sacrifices to the gods to climb the Yongshan Mountain in Shanghai to wait and see. The scenery of Haiyong Mountain made him clear-headed. As soon as he is combined with everyone, he imitates the roars and drums, the leopards roar and play gongs, the wolves howl and play gongs, and Feng Ming plays the flute. However, when monsters attack at night, they all fight together in the battle and panic. One night, the monster flew around with its teeth bared, only to see the sea rushing all over the mountain, like a rolling fireball and a furious tiger; Listen to the sound of gongs, drums and flutes all over the mountain, just like the roar of all animals. It relied on its ferocity to pounce on the rolling "tiger ball" and suddenly the fire disappeared. The monster is surrounded by darkness and silence, and its legs are weak. It plunged into the mire in the southwest of the sea and became a stiff lion. The homonym of "Tiger Ball" in Wu dialect is "Tiger Hill", hence the name "Tiger Hill".
There is such a myth in Buddhism. One year, a white tiger with a paw like a rake and a tail like that of Strafe broke into Haiyong Mountain, eating people and harming livestock. The mount of Manjusri monk who practiced in Lingshan in the west heard that the White Tiger had taken the throne of the king of beasts in Haiyong Mountain, and he hated it. He thinks that tigers will be eliminated to protect creatures. However, Monk Manjushri has always given up killing and is merciful. It had to break the reins while Monk Manjusri was meditating at night, run out of Lingshan, jump into the clouds and go straight to Haiyong Mountain. The green lion spurted flames and rushed to the white tiger. After a fierce battle, the white tiger was killed by the mountain. Just when the green lion returned to the temple successfully, Manjusri monk turned the green lion into a green mountain and set it in the southwest of Haiyang Mountain.
