Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, namely Chongqing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is the only third-class first-class Chinese medicine hospital in Chongqing, which was newly established by the former Chongqing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the care and support of the municipal party committee and municipal government. It is the largest research center of TCM clinical medicine integrating medical treatment, scientific research, preparation, teaching and information research, the clinical teaching practice base of higher medical education approved by the Ministry of Health, the state administration of traditional chinese medicine National Training Center of TCM First Aid, and the national magazine "Journal of TCM First Aid".

Before the merger, Chongqing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was formerly Renaitang Hospital founded by Sister Maria of Franciscans in France on 1902. The former Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was formerly Renji Hospital founded by British people 1896, taken over by Chongqing Third People's Hospital 1950 * *, and established as Chongqing Second Hospital 1955. Approved by the municipal government, it was renamed Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine on 1985.

In order to meet the growing health care needs of artificial intelligence people, better inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese medicine, and realize the grand goal of building our city into a medical center in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, our city has made a decision to merge Chongqing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the original Chongqing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to form a new Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chongqing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Since then, a brand-new Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Chongqing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine) has opened a new page in the development of traditional Chinese medicine in our city.

The key discipline is dermatology, which was founded in 1934 with a long history and huge scale. It is a key construction discipline, major and key laboratory in state administration of traditional chinese medicine, and the first batch of key medical disciplines in Chongqing.

The department is located in the Department of Cosmetic Dermatology Diagnosis of the Ministry of Health, the body safety and efficacy inspection institution of cosmetics of the Ministry of Health, Chongqing Institute of Dermatology, Chongqing STD Monitoring Center and Chongqing Dermatology Prevention and Control Center of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine.

At present, a training base for dermatologists of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine is being built in the western region.
