Maintenance and repair of automobile fender
The front and rear fenders of automobiles are often damaged by the rear-end collision of automobiles or other fixtures. This damage is usually caused by excessive pressure, which may lead to collapse (pits), irregular folds or dead folds. When maintaining, be sure to spread and flatten the folds as much as possible. If conditions permit, the folds can be untied with braces and then flattened; If the conditions do not allow, it is necessary to open it and fold it flat on the car for maintenance. The picture shows the side impact diagram of the right rear fender. 1. fender frontal collision repair: 1. Remove the headlight ring and lamp holder, etc. , and put the gasket into the headlight hole, so that both ends of the gasket are stuck at the corner of the headlight hole. 2. Tie one end of the wire rope to the flat iron, and the other end to the wall column or a suitable building. 3. Reverse the car, drag it by yourself, and let the folds gradually open. However, some small dead folds have not been alleviated, so it is necessary to remove the fender and repair it on the platform. Heat the dead fold with oxygen-acetylene flame and pry it open with a crowbar. Heat a part and pry it open to relieve the pressure. 4. Place the concave surface of the fender upward on the platform, and knock the baffle flat from the inside of the fender. Turn the fender when knocking at the door. 5. Turn over the fender whose inner side is basically knocked flat, that is, the convex surface is upward, pad it on the inner side with an iron pad, and continue knocking from the outside to the inside, so that the folds are fully unfolded. 6. After both sides are leveled, install the fender on the vehicle, and comprehensively trim it with a hammer and gasket. Second, the fender side collision repair: 1. Insert a wooden stick into the gap between the wheel and the fender, and pry out the pit hard to make the pit tend to the original state. 2. Press the smaller part protruding outward with a gasket, and then tap the protruding part of the outer surface with a hammer. 3. Knock with a hammer and the pad will move at the same time. 4. The edge of the fender should be padded with special pads. The edge of the gasket should be aligned with the bending line. Tap the edge of the workpiece with a hammer from the outer edge of the front bending line to gradually restore it to its original state until it is completely flat. Iii. Repair the fender with metal plate plastic clips: 1. Jack up the roof, remove the wheels and lights, and remove the dust and sludge from the fender. 2. Spread sandbags on the back of the fender depression, and fix the surface to be roughly flat with a wooden hammer. 3. Select appropriate rollers, install the molding clip on the impact part of the automobile fender, adjust the bolts to generate slight pressure between the rollers, and roll evenly with plastic clips repeatedly to flatten the concave part. 4. After the fender is leveled, you can remove the shaping clip, install the wheels, lights and other accessories, and then paint the surface. Four. Install the front fender inner reinforcement plate assembly, front cross member and radiator bracket: 1. Check whether the assembly marks of the inner reinforcement plate and the longitudinal beam of the front fender are consistent, and clamp them with a fixture after confirming the matching. 2. Determine the position of the part, and locate the part by detecting the distance between reference points with a ruler. 3. At a certain position, temporarily fix the front cross beam with spot welding, then pad the wood block, and hit the wood block with a hammer to make the plate move in the direction to be adjusted, and adjust its position in the length direction. 4. Check the relative heights of the old and new inner reinforcing plates on both sides of the vehicle with a self-centering gauge to make them consistent, and then support the new inner reinforcing plate with a jack. 5. Carefully determine the position of the front cross beam to make its left and right ends even. 6. When the position and size of the longitudinal beam are consistent with the size shown in the size drawing, fix it. 7. Ensure that the upper dimension of the inner reinforcing plate has not changed, which can be confirmed by checking whether the marking line has moved. 8. Check the diagonal length between the rear fender mounting hole and the suspension seat hole or the front fender mounting hole. 9. Measure the width of the bolt holes of the suspension seat and the front fender, and then fix them together. 10. Measure the dimension of the longitudinal beam in the width direction and adjust the inner reinforcing plate. 1 1. Fix the lower bracket loosely with a clip, and then gently pat it in place by hand. 12. Measure the diagonal length of the radiator bracket to ensure that the two dimensions are consistent. 13. Temporarily install the front fender and check its position relationship with the door. If the gap is not suitable, the reason may be that the height position of the inner stiffener or the longitudinal beam is inaccurate. 14. Before welding, test and verify all dimensions again.
