What's wrong with using expired moldy flour in online celebrity bakeries?
Recently, netizen @ 1987 Jin Baobao posted on Sina Weibo that Farine Wu Kang Road, a well-known bakery in Shanghai, has problems such as long-term use of expired moldy flour and poor sanitary conditions. On March 23, Shanghai Xuhui District Food and Drug Administration ordered it to stop business, and the baking factory in Minhang District was also ordered to stop production.

Shanghai Minhang District Market Supervision Bureau was informed that they received a report at 3 pm on March 20, and at 4 pm, they went to the factory for law enforcement inspection. And sealed 570 bags of French flour imported by the bread company. Subsequently, the market bureau conducted an investigation on the whistleblower and the person in charge of the enterprise.

After investigation, the founder and main management of this brand bakery are French. Many shops and catering companies have been established. In February this year, its factory in Minhang just obtained a production license. It was put into production on March 6 this year. The written record of interviewing the person in charge of the enterprise shows that in France, the shelf life of wheat and wheat flour does not need to be considered. When imported, the Chinese label of flour shows that the shelf life is 9 months to 12 months. In fact, it doesn't matter even if it takes two years.

However, Minhang Market Supervision Bureau believes that those who engage in food business in China should understand and operate according to the laws of China. Therefore, the expired food flour was sealed on site, all documents and financial records were accessed, and all processed semi-finished products were sealed, and an investigation was initiated. According to the whistleblower in Weibo, there are still more than 2,000 bags left untreated. Regulators believe that most of the bakery's business is now store sales, the factory has not been open for a long time, and flour that may have expired may be stored in various stores.

On March 23rd, the clerk of Farine Bakery on Wu Kang Road told this newspaper that he had not received the notice that he was going to close down today. He came to the shop to bake bread at 4: 00 in the morning, and there was a lot of freshly baked bread in the shop. Farine's clerk also said that flour used to be piled on the shelves in bags. Maybe there was too much flour, and the expired flour was pressed under it and I didn't notice it.

On March 22nd, Weibo netizen "1987 Jin Baobao" posted: "I work in Farine (No.378 Wu Kang Road), the most famous bakery in Shanghai. I started to work in this enterprise with a sincere learning attitude after nearly half a year's employment. However, the poor sanitary conditions and irregular management of enterprises have been gradually discovered, which is jaw-dropping. The canvas used to place semi-finished bread has been moldy for a long time, the mold tools are washed with dirty water, rats run rampant in the shop at night, and the operation room is full of sanitary problems, which is accompanied by moldy smell all the year round.

"The most ridiculous thing is that Frank, the French owner of this shop, has been making bread with expired flour. The flour in the shop is moldy and out of date. Long-term consumption will definitely have a great impact on health. I once thought about leaving, but my conscience and faith condemn my idea of leaving every day. Every day, I see so many people queuing to buy bread, especially so many children.

"I am determined to stand up and tell the truth. After more than four months of undercover sneak shots, I have a lot of video evidence to confirm what I said. I reported this matter to the US Food and Drug Administration in Shanghai on March 20th, 20 17.
