How to manage Kyoho grape in the early stage of fruit setting?
Kyoho grape is deeply loved by consumers because of its big grain and strong flavor, but it has the weakness of low fruit setting rate in cultivation. Practice has proved that the following five measures can improve the fruit setting rate of Kyoho grape. First, artificial pollination. At the beginning of flowering, in the sunny morning, after the dew is dry, the iron wire is gently shaken to artificially assist grape pollination. 2. Spray mixed solution of boric acid and urea on the leaves. Spraying a mixture of 0.2% boric acid and 0.3% urea to supplement nutrition before 10 and at the initial flowering stage can obviously improve the fruit setting rate. Third, reasonable flower thinning. 7- 10 days before flowering, the inflorescence is shaped and the redundant flowers are sparse. The method of inflorescence shaping is: 1/4 or 1/5 to cut off the inflorescence tip and remove the poorly differentiated accessory spike. The method of thinning flowers is: two inflorescences can be left for strong branches (the thickness of 4-5 internodes is below 0.7 cm), one inflorescence can be left for fruit branches, and no inflorescence can be left for weak branches. Fourth, the results are top-notch. It starts five to six days before flowering. The standard of coring: It is appropriate to pick leaves with the size of 1/3, and at the same time, all the secondary tips should be erased. Fifth, flowering and girdling. Circumcising the base of fruiting branches or fruiting mother branches at flowering stage can also improve the fruit setting rate.
