Wang Zixu was discovered and cultivated in Cangxi, Sichuan on 1983, and was identified as a new osmanthus variety by Professor Lin Dalin, an authoritative expert of China Osmanthus Association, and Professor Lu Difei of Huazhong Agricultural University. The tree is vigorous, evergreen all the year round, with developed roots, rapid growth, strong cold resistance and stress resistance. The flowering period is 280 days throughout the year, with white or yellow-white color and fragrant fragrance.

Put it in a dark place and water it alternately. When the temperature is high, thin fertilizer should be applied after each flowering, so that it can continue to bloom in winter. Osmanthus fragrans is slightly different from traditional osmanthus fragrans, so management should be flexible. Even when it blooms in late spring and early summer, it is necessary to trim the branches a little, apply some organic fertilizer in stages, stop fertilizing in midsummer, and raise it in the north. Only after beginning of autumn can it be managed normally.
