Jiaxing Health School was founded in 195 1, formerly known as Zhejiang Province, and is a provincial key unit of health education. For decades, it has trained a large number of medical talents for Jiaxing City and even Zhejiang Province, and made important contributions to the medical and health undertakings in Zhejiang Province. In 2000, Jiaxing University established the Medical College of Jiaxing University on the basis of Jiaxing Health School and became the Medical College. In 2003, it was upgraded to undergraduate medical college with the approval of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education. The main task of medical college is to train full-time undergraduates in medicine and nursing, and it also undertakes many tasks such as general practice education and medical and health personnel training in Jiaxing. The college has three affiliated hospitals and a number of high-level teaching hospitals.

The college insists on taking students as the foundation and teaching quality as its life. The college attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality, including students' reverence and responsibility for life, the formation of active learning ability, the establishment of clinical analytical thinking, the transformation of psychological roles, the deepening and application of basic theories, and the improvement of clinical diagnosis and medical ability. In teaching, we should pay attention to professional foundation and clinical practice, pay attention to foreign language communication and computer use ability, and rely on the strong teaching staff and rich teaching resources of affiliated hospitals to carry out practical and intensive education for students.
