Alternate covering method: Alternate covering method mainly refers to covering one eye with an eye patch and then moving to the other eye quickly. Repeat this many times. If the eyeball of the originally covered eye does not move, it means that the eye position is normal. If the eyeball moves from outside to inside or from inside to outside, it means that the eye position is high or low.
Covering-unmasking method: This method needs to cover any eye with an eye patch, and observe whether there is eye movement in the opposite eye when covering. If there is eye movement, it means that the opposite eye has an eye position. If there is no eye movement in the contralateral eye, the contralateral eye is normal.
Corneal reflection method: when the oblique angle of view is examined by corneal reflection method, a point light source is placed at the same height as the eye to be examined at a distance of 33cm, and the eyes are fixed on the light source, and then the position of the reflection point deviates from the center of the pupil to help judge the position of the eye. If the reflection point of the flashlight on both corneas is in the center of the cornea, the eye position is normal. If the reflection point on the cornea is at the edge of the pupil, outside or at the edge, there may be eye height.
It is recommended to go to a regular eye clinic, and the doctor will give professional diagnosis advice.
In addition to the above three methods, you can also judge the eye position in the following ways:
Observing the patient's facial appearance, eye position appears high and low, which will lead to facial asymmetry and inconsistent eye height.
Observe the degree of prism by prism alternating covering method. If the degree is different, it means the eye position is high or low.
Using the synoptophore, you can draw six eyeliners for both eyes. If the upper and lower equivalence are inconsistent, it means that there is eye height.
The above judgment methods are for reference only. It is recommended to go to a professional ophthalmologist for treatment, and the doctor will give professional diagnosis advice.
