What preparations should be made for pot soil management of bonsai plants?
1. First, appropriate basin soil should be configured. Good pot soil requires loose soil, rich humus, rich and comprehensive nutrients, good drainage and permeability, strong water and fertility conservation, appropriate pH value and no pests and diseases. The materials of basin soil mainly include garden soil, humus soil, compost soil, pond mud, peat, yellow sand and so on. The general formula of potted soil is: garden soil+humus soil+yellow sand+bone meal, and the volume ratio is 6: 7: 6:1; Peat+yellow sand+bone meal, the volume ratio is12: 8:1; Compost soil+garden soil is generally used for flowers and trees, and the volume ratio is 1: 1. Rhododendron can use humus and a small amount of yellow sand.

2. Then the pot soil will be disinfected. Generally, there are two ways of steam disinfection and drug disinfection. Steam disinfection means that the steam in the boiler is introduced into a closed container filled with pot soil through steel pipes or rubber pipes, and the pot soil is disinfected with steam at 100℃-200℃ 1 hour, and a small amount of pot soil can be disinfected in an autoclave 15-20 minutes. Formalin is usually used for chemical disinfection. Every cubic meter of soil is mixed with 400-500ml formalin solution, then sealed with plastic film for 2-4 hours, then spread out for 3-4 days, and can be used after formalin volatilizes.

3. Then it's time to change the basin.

(1) watershed selection. According to the size of the seedlings, choose the flowerpots with appropriate specifications. Pots for cultivation should be ventilated, such as pottery pots and wooden pots. Marketing pots should be beautiful porcelain pots, teapot or plastic pots.

(2) on the basin. Use tiles or cinders as drainage layer and fill with a layer of culture soil. When transplanting rice seedlings, hold the seedlings in your left hand and place them at a proper distance from the mouth of the pot. Then fully irrigate, spray branches and leaves with a watering can and leave them in the shade for several days. After the seedlings resume growth, they are gradually placed in a sunny place.

(3) Change pots. The time of changing pots depends on the size and development period of plants. Usually arranged in 3-5 leaves, before flower bud differentiation and before flowering. Most perennial herbaceous flowers change a pot every year, and woody flowers change a pot every 2-3 years. When changing pots, press your left hand on the base of the plants on the pot surface, lift the pot upside down, and take out the soil balls while washing the pot. Immediately after changing pots, fully irrigate the roots to make them in close contact with the soil, and then water them to keep them moist.

4. Turn the basin, pour the basin and loosen the basin.

(1) rotating basin. In order to prevent the growth of phototactic plants from deviating from the incident direction of light, resulting in crown deviation, the flowerpot was changed to 180 glossy surface.

(2) pour the basin. Replace the flowerpots placed in the protected area.

(3) Loosen the basin. Use bamboo chips, small iron harrows and other tools to loosen the pot soil, promote root system development and improve fertilizer efficiency.
