What are the methods of corrosion and rust removal for steel pipes?
1, clean

Solvent and emulsion are used to clean the steel surface and remove oil, grease, dust, lubricant and similar organic matter, but they cannot remove rust, scale and flux on the steel surface, so they are only used as auxiliary means in anticorrosion production.

2, tool derusting

We mainly use tools such as wire brushes to polish the steel surface, which can remove loose or upturned oxide scale, rust, welding slag and so on. Derusting of hand tools can reach Sa2 level, and derusting of electric tools can reach Sa3 level. If the iron scale is firmly attached to the steel surface, the derusting effect of tools is not ideal, and the depth of anchor line required by anti-corrosion construction can not be reached, and the speed is very slow.

Step 3: Pickling

Generally, chemical and electrolytic methods are used for pickling treatment, while chemical pickling is only used for pipeline anticorrosion, which can remove scale, rust and old coating, and sometimes it can be used as reprocessing after sandblasting and derusting. Although chemical cleaning can make the surface reach a certain cleanliness and roughness, its anchor lines are shallow, which is easy to pollute the environment and cause harm to people.

4, shot blasting (throwing) derusting

Spray (throwing) derusting means that the high-power motor drives the spray (throwing) blade to rotate at high speed, so that abrasive materials such as steel grit, steel shot, iron wire segment and minerals are sprayed (thrown) out of the surface of the steel pipe under the action of centrifugal force, which can not only completely remove rust, oxide and dirt, but also achieve the uniform roughness required by the steel pipe under the violent impact and friction of abrasive materials.
